It’s Really Happening.

October 5, 2017 / Stephen / Leave a comment

Good day, all! I'm celebrating another small victory, or perhaps large victory. A little more than one year ago, I set out to return to school and complete my degree with the ambition of continuing onwards to law school. The first image is a short verse I wrote almost five years ago to the date. It’s a pretty raw verse and speaks truthfully of my mindset having recovered from a traumatic series of events less than one year prior. The second image is evidence of said events, me at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2015 undergoing would be a long, tiresome, frustrating battery of tests. Just a snail making their way back to the water.
Venturing out with my camera has encouraged to get close to creatures I would otherwise avoid like snakes or these jellyfish. Atlantic sea nettles, aside from a moderate irritation from their sting, they are pretty harmless.

One thing I love about the Long Island Sound, the piles of sea shells.

“It has been my experience that gifted and talented persons are more likely to experience a type of depression referred to as existential depression. Although an episode of existential depression may be precipitated in anyone by a major loss or the threat of a loss which highlights the transient nature of life, persons of higher intellectual ability are more prone to experience existential depression spontaneously” from Dr. James T. Webb
