A New Hobby

https://youtu.be/G9laQ5E5kSw I recently bought a drone, more specifically, a DJI Mavic Air. I love it! Today, I needed a "mental health" day and spent a cold, quiet but joyous day at the park. Enjoy!

Golden Hour on the Hudson near my house.
This hive of wild honeybees was found behind an abandoned house on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Also, I found the 1777 and 1792 estate accounts of my 7th and 6th great-grandfathers respectively who kept bees on their farmstead. Colonial uses for bees were numerous: honey was used as a sweetener but also for medicinal purposes; wax was used to make candles; the red stuff you see “dripping” down the siding is called propolis and is an excellent sealant.
If you haven’t seen it, the “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” at the @metmuseum is an absolute must.
